Films or movie are popular all over the world. We often watch movies for entertainment.  Through movies we can learn many things, for one communication. It helps you to express and hence, improve our communication. Watching English movies can improve your communication as you can learn new words and improve your vocabulary.  It is also a great topic to start a new conversation. We all love watching movies, but what if you could describe it to your friend and convince him/her to watch the movie as well. Wouldn’t that be great?

You and your friend are sitting in a café and drinking coffee. Soon, the conversation moves to recent movies and you start to discuss a movie you watched over the weekend.  Let’s see a sample conversation.

Conversation between Lisa and Ray

Ray: Hey Lisa, have you seen the movie Bahubali?


Lisa: No, but I have heard a lot about that movie.

Ray: It is one the greatest movie in Indian Cinema.

Lisa: Wow that sounds great. Can you describe me about the movie?

Ray: It is a Tollywood (directed in Telugu) movie which is directed by S. S. Rajamouli.

Lisa: What kind of movie is it?

Ray: It is an epic (long, historical drama) and has a lot of action (fights) and romance (love).

Lisa: That’s interesting. What about the cast (everyone who acted in the movie) and crew of the film?

Ray: The lead actors (main actors) were Prabhas, Tamannaah, Satya Raj, Rana Daggubati and the supporting actors (not main roles) were Anushka Shetty, Rohini and special appearance (for a short time) were Nora Fatehi, Sneha Upaday.

Lisa: How did you know about that movie?

Ray: I saw the trailer (short extract of the film) and was impressed by it.

Lisa: And who is the music director (person who composes the songs and background score)?

Ray: M. M. Keeravani.

Lisa: That sounds really great. I will watch that movie as soon as possible.

Ray: Yeah you should watch it.It’s really a great movie. You know the world wide box office collection of the movie was Rs.586.45Cr. It’s my favorite movie.

Lisa: Okay, do you have that movie with you?

Ray: Yeah, I will give it you.

Lisa: Thank you.

You can use many adjectives when describing your favorite movie like wonderful, beautiful, marvelous, epic, romantic, comedy, action and many more.
