Nowadays, we all depend on our cell phones for everything. From making phone calls to using it for acquiring complex information and mobile applications, it has become something that people feel handicapped without. Just imagine leaving your cell phone back at home for one day... Okay! Let's spare you the horror of even imagining something that dreadful and move on to the exercise.

Describe your Phone

Talk artistically:

Your cell phone is the undefeatable winner when it comes to choosing between your gadgets assortment, yet having to describe it in well-spoken English does get a little tricky! Let's take a look at an example that you could use as a reference to describe your beloved cell phone in the utmost artistic way possible.

"I'm currently using an Apple iPhone 4S which is a 'smart phone' to say the least. Unlike other cell phones, the 4S functions on a micro SIM. It has an internal memory of 32 GB and exhibits camera clarity of 8 Megapixels. The operating system it functions on is iOS 5, which is upgradable to iOS 6.1.4 as well. My phone is updated with the latest applications, videos, and movies that hold my interest. It also has a number of instant messaging and social networking sites that keeps me occupied and amused throughout the day. Many a times I use it to make Skype calls to my sister in the U.S. I'm also a game geek and so my phone has an entire bank of games that one could choose from. Lastly, I would like to mention that I share a close relationship with my phone and feel incomplete without it."

Don't get too detailed!

Avoid getting too detailed especially in the case of describing the phone's specifications, try and keep it crisp and short! Talk only about the generic specifications and keep it to that only. Describe the lighter features of your phone that would make your description appealing and engaging rather than dull and boring.

While describing something, always speak with poise and excitement but remember to mind your English grammar from going haywire. English speaking isn't that difficult once you put your mind to it, keep practicing and soon you will improve your spoken English skills in barely any time.
