You are planning to go out for a vacation since you need a break from your daily routine. You decide to visit your friend abroad. The thought of meeting him again makes you happy.  Your flight has just landed and you still need to complete an hour of the train journey to reach your destination. Therefore, you decide to start a conversation with the person sitting beside you, using your English speaking skills.

Mr Peter: - I am good, apart from all this rain! It’s chucking down again!

You: - Yes, it’s unpleasant, isn’t it? And it is very cold!

Mr Peter: - The weather forecast said it will brighten up after lunch.

You: - They always say that! Still, I can’t complain, it’s a lot better than back home.

Mr Peter: - Really? Where are you from?

You: - I am from India.

Mr Peter: - What’s the weather like in India now?

weather

You: - It’s so hot out there!

Mr Peter: - Right! So this must be like winter for you!

You: - Right! And I do like the snow sometimes.

Mr Peter: What kind of seasons do you experience over there?

You: We generally experience three seasons- summer, monsoon and winter.

Mr Peter: And how long do these seasons last for?

You: Summer starts from the mid - March and lasts till Mid-June which is three months. Every season continues for same duration.

Mr Peter: Wow! That’s pretty fair. You get to experience every season for at least three months.

You: Yes.

Mr Peter: Okay young man, I am getting down at the next station. It was nice talking to you.

You: Yes, sir. My pleasure. Bye.

The above conversation shows how to talk about the weather. Your English language skills have to be at par with the place you are travelling. Improve your spoken English skills before travelling out of your country so that you don’t get stuck at any point. Happy Journey!
