Watching your child go to school does instill a feeling of pride with a tint of sadness of separating from your beloved constantly clinging issue, eventhough for a few hours. But what when you realize that your child is not completely happy about going to school... due to a bigger kid being a bully. What then? Will you let your kid suffer in silence or will you bring this to teacher's attention?

Issue of bullying

While approaching the teacher for addressing this issue, ensure you brush up a little on your English communication skills. It is essential that you communicate the issue in the best way possible to ensure appropriate action be taken. Your concern regarding well- spoken English has ended. Technology has just made learning English at home super easy. All you have to do is to enroll in an English speaking course online to help assist and augment your spoken English.

Here's a quick example to help you understand how it is supposed to be done:

How to talk to teacher

You: Good Morning Ma'am.

Teacher: Good Morning! How can I help you?

You: I just wanted to have a quick word with you. I am Rooney's mother.

Teacher: Rooney. Yes, Yes... Tell me.

You: Lately, my child has been complaining about getting bullied by the bigger kids in class. I wasn't sure whether it has caught your attention and I just wanted to bring it to your notice.

Teacher: Is it? Unfortunately, I didn't know about it and with so many kids fooling around, there are times I happen to miss out on some really crucial things. I will definitely look into the matter. Are there any names that he has taken?

You: No. He hasn't mentioned any names as such but refrains from talking about it either. I have barely managed to extract some things that have disturbed him deeply.

Teacher: I will keep a close eye at Rooney henceforth. This will not continue you have my assurance.

You: Thank you very much for hearing me out. Hope you take the required measures against the kid and his group that's spreading such fear and negativity. I am glad I could discuss this with you. Thank you for your time and have a good day ahead.

Teacher: You too.
